Set up in two minutes.

Hopper walks you through it the first time you open it. Here’s the same thing, so you know what’s coming.

  1. 1Let Hopper look around.
  2. 2Choose what it searches.
  3. 3Pick your shortcut.
  4. 4Try these five.

Let Hopper look around.

Turn on Accessibility so Hopper can see your windows and tabs. Full Disk Access is optional. When macOS asks if Hopper can read Chrome or Safari, click OK.

Choose what it searches.

Apps, windows, tabs and agents are already on. Personal apps stay off until you switch them on, and everything stays on your Mac.

Pick your shortcut.

Hopper opens with ⌘Space. If Spotlight still has it, turn Spotlight’s off in System Settings ▸ Keyboard ▸ Keyboard Shortcuts, or record another key for Hopper.

Using Raycast too? Switch Hotkeys hands the keys to Raycast and back.

Try these five.

Tick them off as you go, or watch each one in Tips. 0 of 5 done.

Something not right?

My browser tabs don’t show up.

Open System Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Automation and allow Hopper for Chrome or Safari. Check that Accessibility is on for Hopper too.

⌘Space still opens Spotlight.

Turn off Spotlight’s shortcut in System Settings ▸ Keyboard ▸ Keyboard Shortcuts ▸ Spotlight, or record a different key for Hopper in its Settings.

An agent isn’t in the list.

Hopper lists Claude Code, Claude, Codex and Cursor, plus agents in herdr. To search old sessions too, switch on Past agent sessions in Settings.
