It all stays on your Mac.
Hopper does its work where your work already is. Here’s exactly what that means.
Search runs on your Mac
Everything Hopper finds is read, stored and searched on this Mac. There’s no cloud copy of your tabs, docs or chats.
Screenshot text, read locally
Hopper recognizes the words in your screenshots with on-device text recognition, so you can search for them.
Agents, without hooks
Hopper reads each agent’s own files. Nothing gets installed into Claude Code, Codex or Cursor.
Copied links stay put
Clipboard History lives in Hopper’s database on your Mac, and never opens the links you copy.
Private stays private
Incognito and private windows are never read. See every privacy control.
The one exception
For Hulu and Netflix links, Hopper fetches the public page, signed out and without cookies, to name the episode. Turn it off in Settings ▸ Privacy ▸ Online Lookups.
