Your Mac, your rules.
Every privacy choice is a switch in Settings ▸ Privacy, and the careful option is the default.
Personal apps start off
Messages, Apple Notes, Slack, Calendar, browser history and past agent sessions stay out of search until you switch them on. See every source.
Exclude any app
An excluded app is never indexed or recorded. It won’t show up in search, Back or Clipboard History, and snippets never expand in it.
Private windows stay private
Incognito and private browser windows never reach Hopper at all.
You decide how long history lasts
Hopper remembers where you’ve been for 30 days. Make it 7 or 90, or clear it whenever you like.
Clipboard History is opt-in
It’s off until you turn it on. It skips anything your password manager marks as secret, and you choose how long entries are kept.
Online lookups can go
For a few streaming sites, Hopper looks up the episode name so you can search for it. Turn that off and the saved names are deleted.
Full Disk Access is optional
It lets Hopper search more apps. Without it, Hopper works with what it can already see.
Forget a pick
Hopper learns which result you pick for what you type. Reset Ranking, from ⌘K on that result, forgets it.
